Best way to correct your sword techniques

The best way to correct the swing, focus, and edge angle of your sword arts is to enroll in some training in the sword arts and practice, practice, practice. You need to keep in mind, the swords will not take a whole lot of high impact, leaving the blade to asorb the constant blows.

The batttle ready swords are made to withstand the impact of another blade so that both blades could asorb the impact of the blow. For this reason you need to make a target, as mentioned below;

If you need to prefect your techniques, I would recommend that you take a thick rolled up rug and hang it at the height you want and pratice on it. This will give you a cutting target and something you will be able to focus your techniques on.

Always make sure the sword has a sharp blade, when using on a cutting target. Try a test cut first, before getting into your practice session. The test cutting with swords is called Shizhan in Chinese. It has historical precedents from the Qing Dynasty.

Ancient chinese warriors trained in these ancient skills using caoren, or grass men. So remember, "practice does not make perfect". It's really "perfect pratice make perfect".
